it's not often i wish a book was longer, but this would have benefited from it. i did really enjoy violeta's feminist and socialist awakening, and the supporting characters were a delight. just wish it was the epic tale of a life well lived that it could have been, rather than a epistolary speedrun from birth to death with little breathing room in-between. i say this out of real love for what was there.
