This is exactly my kind of poetry! Accessible language yet incredibly striking, often brutal, always exquisite.

Some parts were painful, yeah. But overall this book was subpar. The execution could've been way better, but the characters were stale bread. The conversations just dragged on and felt empty. Most of this could've been compressed into significantly less pages if it weren't so filled with dull, repetitive dialogue. I'm sorry but not even Sam had personality enough to make me grieve for him.

Doesn’t come close to PWMOV for me as a best friends to lovers tale. Still good though, and worth the read. But also forgettable.
