Did not like it. Felt like the characters’ inner turmoil weren’t fleshed out at all and just rushed at the end. For a character-centric book, the characters just weren’t written well.
Personal opinion but I thought the flashbacks were unnecessary given how much inner monologue there already was in the present day timeline. Maybe would’ve been more engaging if the alternating storylines were actually them and their book.
