I would like to go on the record stating that India Holton is the true queen of the only one bed trope. The way India plays with classic tropes is ingenious and I am forever in awe of her ability to make me laugh out loud and gush about the cleverness of her writing to anyone who will listen. This was another wonderfully fun, sweet and beautifully bonkers read. It’s always bittersweet finishing a favourite series but I’m already excited about the fact that one day I’ll get to read it all over again.

The writing style is very odd and the book feels all over the place. I also found the characters missing in heart and connection to reader. Not a fan - I only finished it because I was captive on a plane.

This was a perfect wrap-up to the series. It was interesting to focus on Alice being some free off non-neurotypical. Daniel, too. Im glad they both found love and happiness in the end.

What a cute and cozy read! I loved the relationship between Alice and Bixby so much. The caricature humor is also top tier! I didn't realize this wasn't the first book of the series, so now I have to back to read the others.

I wasn't as drawn into the book as I would have liked... too long and misunderstood about the pirates... but the relationship between Alice and Daniel is cute. There are funny moments and adventure. I really liked the mix of magic, pirates and secret agents.
