What I liked about this story:

  • Good, positive rep for therapy, with visible character growth based on it.
  • I loved all the little trope inversions.
  • Neve is the very definition of "strong female lead".
  • Audrey, despite not being a POV character, is still 3D and interesting.

But also, some stuff wasn't my jam:

  • Neve is a tad cruel and petty for my tastes.
  • The meta-discourse about romance took me out of the story each time.

Overall, I thought it was enjoyable and a solid deconstruction of a bunch of tropes at once.

Sex:
many hard-R-rated scenes and anecdotes — these two are horny for each other and do not shy away from it
