Thank you so much ValentinePR for the second installment in the Anaconda Tales. I just have to start off by saying how much I love this author. She has a talent of withdrawing every emotion from my system. There were times when I would start pondering scenarios and J. Rose pulls me back in and has me glued to her words.
Em is such a BA still figuring everything out and dealing with emotions she has never even fathomed. She has been in survival mode for so long. I think this author has mastered the cliff hangers to leave you wanting more but not devastated to the point of no return. CHef's KISS
The GUYS!!! OMG Hyland is so selfless to the point I worry about him all the time worrying about everyone else. Axel, lord have mercy he is a force of nature. Warner is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Blaine! THis team needs to get it together and welcome you with open arms. IF this is a wrong prediction and he is actually bad, WEll.... I guess that just proves I always pick the villain with a black heart, they will still pull me right in.

I am eating up this story! I love that the characters are developing and the men are coming to terms with sharing. I love the forbidden element in this romance, and I love that, although the FMC has a dark past, she's still strong and sassy as hell. I am biting at the bit for part three. I can't wait to see this family cement and come together. If you love strong FMCs, good mental health representation, found family, forbidden romance (work place & brother's best friend) , dark romance, and why choose romance, put this one on your radar!

Ahhhh!
Our girl Ember is shaking out of the numbness of her trauma, and wreaking havoc. Sheโs one badass chick.
She wants what she wants and isnโt afraid to go for it. Her men? Here for it. Well, some of them are. Others are bickering to the death.
This one was intense. The plot twists and secrets! The suspense and mystery! I canโt say much for fear of spoiling it for others. But donโt sleep on this series! It has everything you could want. I canโt wait to see whatโs in store for book 3!!

Just when you thought you were going to get the answers you needed whe the first book ended, J. Rose gives us this intense, emotionally charges and action filled second book in the trilogy. And while she does answer a few questions, she also opens up the door for so many more to come.
While I love all the guys, I had so many question on how Blaine was going to get to join the party and while he hasn't officially, J. Rose has set it up perfectly.
Getting Warner to break was so much fun to watch. The seemingly put together leader losing control for the one girl he has only ever wanted. The way they handled telling her brother I thought was perfect.
Hyland( I think he is my favorite but I a partial to a grump) He is the fierce protector. How much he takes on to protect those he loves is chef's kiss.
But for me, Axel had the best developement of this novel. While he is that happy,goofy kill character we know and love from Fracture Future, he has his moment when his past catched up with him. I have so many questions about his past, still
And can we please talk about that ending, I clearly didn't see that coming in any way share or form and I LOVED IT!
While I cannot wait to see how this trilogy will end, I am sad to see it go!

I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of J Rose's newest book, Ravaged Soul (book two in the Anaconda Tales trilogy).
I loved being back in J Rose's shared universe.
Ravaged Soul picks up right where Fractured Future left off, and you are immediately thrust back into the action that the Anaconda Team has found themselves in.
I adore Ember. She has been through absolute hell and back, and my heart broke for her so many times. How much pain and suffering can one person endure? I am in constant awe of how strong she is, especially after everything she has endured. Through everything, she continues to show strength and resilience, never backing down and choosing to fight for those who donโt have a voice. She continues to prove to those around her that nothing will stop her from ending this continuous ring of human trafficking.
Blaine freaking Madden! He is a man on a whole other level, and I love everything about this man. I would have been happy if he had stayed Ember's only love interest. The air of mystery surrounding him keeps me wanting more. The way he cared for Ember after finding her unconscious and helping her through the mental blackout hit me in all the feels. The more I learned about his character, the easier it was to fall in love with him. I love how Blaine and Ember are kindred spirits, and there is no judgment between them.
Axel intrigued me in the first book, and I was excited to learn more about him and the secrets surrounding his past. Unfortunately, I had a love-hate relationship with him this time around, especially when it came to how he was towards Ember.
I still have a love-hate relationship with Warner and Hyland. I am unsure what to make of them, as they have not done anything to win me over yet. The way they were trying to control Ember after everything she had been through and endured broke my heart. I expected to see a lot more growth from them and to see a change in how they are towards Ember. It will be interesting to see whether my thoughts on them will change with the final book.
I enjoyed seeing characters from Blackwood Institute, Sabre Security, Briar Valley, and Harrowdean Manor.
The ending took me by surprise and has left me with questions I need answers to!
I can not wait to see how Ember, Blaine, Axel, Warner, and Hyland's story will end in the last book of the Anaconda Tales trilogy.

There's no shortage of tension, no lack of ~spicy~ times that perfectly fit the trajectory of each relationship. No matter how hard the guys try to fight (or not, lol).
Grit, action, hurt/comfort, healing, and a whole lot of excitement, Ravaged Soul is an excellent follow-up to Fractured Future and if you need me, I'll be in my corner, crying until I have book 3 in my hands.
