I give it five stars because I can’t give it six. I loved this book and loved Nico Russo ❤️

The overall pacing and writing was commendable, got me out of my reading slump and honestly wasn’t as cringe or gross as I expected it to be. It was surprisingly good but that’s probably because my bar was quite low.

I saw this all over booktok so I had to try. It was good with loads of tension. Story was good but it has a lot of the typical tropes. Close proximity, forced marriage, and the worst… miscommunication trop. Saw who the next book is about and I’m not too excited. They were not compelling characters, at least in this book.

These books are far from literary perfection but idc it's so much. So easy to read and entertaining asf. All the male characters are red flags but you just can't help but love them.
