Amazing audiobook with a twist that made my stomach drop. These characters felt real, elevated by the incredible voice performances.

4 stars. The first part of the book was super slow and about a 3 star rating for me, but the ending was a 5 star one, so I rounded to 4! I listened to it on audio and really enjoyed the narration & different characters. I really forgot that I was listening to a fictional book, not a real interview!

This is just an all-around book of love, heartbreak, addiction, & the ups and downs of life!

I started Daisy Jones and the Six to see what the hype was all about and because, at first, it sounded like the movie Almost Famous. However, it didn't live up to my expectations. Sure, there were some interesting characters, like Carren and Camilla, but there was not much of the whole rock and roll glam, the celebrity culture, other than some brief parties and a lot of drags.

In addition, Daisy was a boring character. She was self-observed, childish and not what everyone claimed her to be. There was a lot of praise for her beauty and sex appeal, but when it came to her personality, she was someone who was an empty shell, not knowing what she was doing most of the time, always high or drunk.

Also, the story of her and Billy was not working for me. He was married and he kept saying that he loved his family. On the other hand, Daisy didn't care at all about his situation. And their relationship progress was a bit rocky.

Plus, the first part was too long and was focused on the separate lives of the band and Daisy and when things got interesting, it was more about writing songs and photoshoots and then poof it's over.

On the other hand, it was an interesting take on the story being narrated in the form of interviews. That way you could see all the point of views and create the proper image of what was going on.
