Meet cute. Almost.
Meeting and falling in love on a subway through missed connections section of the paper is everything I ever wanted. This is what [b:The Book Ninja|36238514|The Book Ninja|Ali Berg|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1517474339l/36238514._SY75_.jpg|57881485] should've been.

This book was great, I really liked it, but I think I'm ruined after reading [b:Love at First Like|42201658|Love at First Like|Hannah Orenstein|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1563231532l/42201658._SY75_.jpg|65558103]. I don't trust my romance heroes anymore and that's a shame. Oh, well.
Honestly, perfect british romcom, wold be wonderful to read during holidays.
Multidimentional cast of heroes, dealing with dating, grief, friends and relationships.

I read it via audiobook which was amazing! Would recommend!

I wanted to like it. The blurb sounded fun. The writing was solid. But....even though the hero kept TELLING us how smart he thought Nadia was, she was written as being almost completely TSTL - aside from having a job as a coder. She was ditsy, made bad decisions, and could not get herself together to even catch the right train most days of the week.

In addition, it dragged out the hero and heroine's near-miss meetings FAR TOO LONG. I was ready for it to be over by the halfway point. I was just done with these characters.

I loved the premise of this - Daniel notices Nadia on his morning commute on the underground in London and writes a message to her in the 'missed connections' section on the local paper. There are then a lot of genuine missed connections as the two have many near misses in their quest to find each other.

I liked Nadia and Daniel. Daniel is quiet, a bit shy, and a genuinely likeable character, while Nadia is clumsy, always on the last minute, and quite outspoken. The side characters were also interesting, especially Romeo. I liked his support of Daniel, the way he built up Daniel's confidence by being a good friend.

There were also some surprising moments where the author makes a point of highlighting some of the problems women face in the dating scene today, and she touches on the issue of consent in a realistic way that doesn't feel out of place. There were other realistic moments that made the story and characters feel very relatable.

There are a couple of things that made me rate this three stars rather than four - one, while I did like the characters and found them to be relatable, I didn't feel myself overly invested in the story or the will they/won't they plot. The other thing was that the middle of the book did drag, and there were quite a lot of very convenient coincidences brought into the story in order to drag out the suspense.

Overall, though, I enjoyed this book, and I would definitely read more from this author in the future.

Many thanks to Avon Books UK and Readers First for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Likte den, men syntes vi kunne fått lest mer om Nadia og Daniel sammen. De ble ikke sammen før de 10 siste sidene
