I’m could not put this down. Fevered Star picks up right after Black Sun. Rebecca Roanhorse did a phenomenal job expanding the world even more. I loved delving into all of the politics amongst the different clans and how the characters navigated strained and complex relationships with their family members. Roanhorse expanded the magic system which was a pleasant surprise. The characters of course are still amazing. Xiala is definitely my favorite character, but watching Naranpa arc through this book really made me connect to her and love her more. My only complaint is that I did think this suffered from a little bit of middle book syndrome and the pacing for me was not as on point as Black Sun. I cannot wait for the next one!

This book was a good follow up and continuation of black sun. Not much happened in this book it was definitely a bridge I believe for the next book in the series but I feel we got to dig a little deeper into each character so that made it still an interesting read.

not a whole lot happening in this one compared to the first, lots of plot and world building in this one’s which leaves a lot to be desired for the third!
