ARC Review - Frat Around and Find Out by Devon McCormack
Peach State Fratbros Book 1
This book is set at Peach State University and it's a spin off series of Peach State Stepbros. The book can be read as a stand-alone but to get all the juicy details, reading the “stepbros” is a must.
I enjoyed the trajectory of the storyline. We start with the two main characters hating each other just because they are in different frats to them finding common ground. The progression from frenemies to lovers, also felt natural. Because we have to remember these are young people with just enough life experience not to be jaded and wanting to try new things.
I absolutely loved Ty's and Lance's dynamic and the fact that the trust they have for each other is earned and not just given.
Devon is with this book planting seeds and is setting us up nicely for some really good future pairings. I can't wait for the next book and I also want Dax's book so badly.

This was an easy read for me, loved the banter between them both .. how their relationship & feelings blossomed throughout the book. I thought the book was great the side characters are hilarious & I cannot wait for Marty & Ryan’s book! I loved the challenges & I loved how both rival frat houses came together to help each other when the other needed it.
But am I really suggesting me and my Sigma Alpha rival mess around to sort this out? I mean, it feels like the only right way to do it but also like I’m in way over my head.
“Nothing like two straight guys enjoying each other’s cum.”

This is a fun book to read. It was funny and lighthearted even though there were mentions of death in each of their family. I laughed alot at their dialogues and the side characters were pretty great. I love that there are alot of dialogues in it because it can get pretty monotoned if theres just describing things…idk how to explain this. Started as nemesis to lovers. Both figuring things out while experimenting with each other until it wasnt. Manwhore to commited. East acceptance of their feelings and all that jazz. Secret meet ups and jealousy. Funny banters and even funnier characters. No stupid third act breakups. Its an easy read and i really enjoyed it. Maybe uptight marty and ryan would be next. Will definately read the next one in the series. Got a feeling that Dax ‘s story would be a poly one. Not really a fan of that tbh.

This was a sweet and funny rivals to lovers story with a lot of heart. Lance and Ty are two frat presidents from opposing houses who start off competing but slowly discover something more between them. Their connection felt natural and their chemistry was off the charts.
I really enjoyed the whole frat setting. The TaskFrat challenges were creative and fun to read about. The supporting characters were entertaining and the frat brothers were surprisingly wholesome and supportive. It made the story feel warm and close-knit.
There are some emotional moments too, especially around grief and loss, and those scenes added a lot of depth. Lance and Ty really showed up for each other when it mattered most. Their relationship was built on respect, honesty, and a willingness to explore something new.
Totally looking forward to the rest of the series!

Devon McCormack did not disappoint. I’ve been looking forward to this one since the Peach State Step Bros Series and I completely loved it and I cant wait for Marty’s and Ryan’s story.
Lance and Ty have been competing with each other since they met. And both being presidents of frat houses the competition and pranks has become more intense. All in good fun of course. But when they get paired up and are tied up together they get distracted a bit by how they are both turned on. Both can’t stop thinking about it, Ty can’t seem to stay away from Lance and when they finally hook up it’s intense. Ty becomes possessive which Lance loves. Both opposites but they just work. Loved both of them together and the spice was 🥵
I can’t put my finger on the exact reason but the pacing was somewhat off. I’m not against a slow burn story, and there was nothing too slow about this one, but … it won’t be for everyone, I guess. Ty & Lance go from friends to bi-curious pretty early on, move on to exploring things together, and then figuring out that there might be feelings involved too – pretty straight forward for this kind of story. But it’s low angst and a lot of steam & feels so not everyone’s thing.
This is the first by McCormack for me and based on the other reviews I’m guessing the previous stories had more drama? This one is not angsty, which is ok by me. Instead it’s a good mix of lighthearted fun, a supportive friend group, heat, and exploration of new feelings. There are a few side characters that have great potential so I’m looking forward to what’s next.
(First in the series and can technically stand on its own, but as this is a spin-off some familiarity with the Peach State Stepbros series might provide some additional enjoyment because some of the characters make an appearance.)
**I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

What a great start to the Peach State series! Highly entertaining between two rival frat presidents who just can't help but explore this attraction that is new for both of them.
Ty is the ladies man while Lance is more of a relationship guy but when it comes to each other, they suddenly don't see anyone else. I'd say they are more frenemies than anything, taking frat pranks with the right attitude whilst swearing retaliation. I enjoyed the way that they were also able to share some of the more emotional parts of themselves with each other, both having experienced loss in their family. When it comes to exploring together, it gets heated quickly and they have a great chemistry that sparks instantly. Neither is scared to try what they want and there is little awkwardness which makes a nice change. The two can also be really sweet together, when not hazing about frat stuff.
The two frats have a great group of young men who I can't wait to get to know better. Those who have read the Peach State Step bros series will recognise Ash and Colin, and you can already imagine another pairing coming up in the series.
A great read that has many a hot scene but also some caring and funny moments to balance it all out.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
