The first book was better. Maybe because Catarina was part of it? I really thought I liked it only because of Magnus. This book was stupid. And the three stars is just for the last page. The rest of the book was unsatisfactory & boring

در مورد مگنس نميتونم تشخيص بدم داستان هايي رو بيشتر دوست دارم كه به جنبه ي شوخ طبع و شنگولش ميپردازن، يا اون هايي رو كه بهم يادآوري ميكنن مگنس چه سختي هايي رو تحمل كرده و چقدر واقعا شخصيت عميق و دوست داشتني-اي داره

i don't know if it is because i've traveled to paris, or if it is because i enjoy the setting, but i loved this novella more than the first. Paris and Magnus Bane are a very nice duo.

This story was rather boring. I couldn't get into it. I started it earlier this year, got more than half-way through it, but then stopped because I just couldn't take it anymore. I finally finished the last 20 pages today to just get it out of the way.
I thought The Bane Chronicles would be much more exciting, but, so far, it's turned out to be very dull. I hope the story picks up in the next short story but I don't think I will be picking it up for a while.
