So this is a really cute family life book if that is your jam. The best parts of this book are the relationship between Daxton and his 13 year old sister, Emme. They are both trying to figure out life after their parents have died. I loved watching the two of them learn to rely on each other and figure out their new situation. The romance was a little predictable for me and just okay. Great book for anyone that wants more family life in their romance.

4.5 stars - Thanks to the publisher for my free copy.
I didn't like this one as much as Good Luck Charm, but I really liked it! The beginning and ending especially made it for me - super cute, feel good, giggle-inducing chapters. I loved the chemistry and loved the storyline - even though it was a bit more serious, I appreciated that it wasn't a cookie-cutter bubble gum rom-com. Parts of it got a little predictable in terms of the custody storyline (a few DUH eye-roll moments), but I really liked each of the characters & found myself rooting for them. Rom-com fans will love this one! Looking forward to reading Helena Hunting's next book!

I am realizing that I don't like books where a death is the "inciting incident" of the action - especially a romance. Like, I am so glad your parents died so that you had to come to my law office for an estate issue and now we are going to live happily ever after!

Disturbed that they called this Meet Cute when the book is 90% about the guy taking care of his kid sister and the girl being her conservator. Weirdly titled, weird cover choice, weirdly high number of sex scenes.
Also I hate when books infantilize the main woman and compare her to a child and then call her sexy.... please stop doing this. How am I supposed to believe that a 5ft woman and a 6ft man "fit perfectly" together physically?? I pray for their broken necks and her calves for going on her toes for every kiss.
Was a quick little read at the beach. It was sufficiently entertaining, but not an amazing piece of literature.

I was frustrated knowing something the characters didn’t know for the majority of the book. Would have liked less predictability
