This book gave me the creeps!

I am struggling with anxiety and this story didn't help me lessen the anxiousness I feel everyday hahaha

Yes, Cathy's OCD was repetitive to show the effectiveness of her trauma. To read it or from an outsider point of view it would be terrible thing to witness but to experience it yourself that's a whole different thing. Victims or survivors getting back or settling back to their routines that they think are normal is victorious. I felt profound pride when Cathy started to feel better. The build up of tension was making me grip the book tighter and makes me sick to read about Lee and makes me laugh how insane he is. This book was amazing with the characters. I would say that the romance between Cathy and Stuart was a handled well. It wasn't too much and it was needed for the plot because while the time was alternating to the past and present. You were seeing how different Cathy was before and during meeting Lee she was wild, carefree and high spirited and in it the present she's anxious, jumpy and ill-tempered. To have Stuart wiggled his way to Cathy's life was a stretch because you would even think that he would be even worse than Lee or his an accomplice of Lee that sort of thing passed my mine because I'm an anxious person and my mind is always jumping to conclusion to conclusion (LOL)

Anyways, this book kept me on the edge of my seat and way past my bed time I have midterms tomorrow HAHAHAHA

OCD, PTSD, psychosis, sadism, sociopathic behaviors, fear, dread, annoying friends, patient neighbor/psychologist...Wow. This book was compelling, dark and disturbing, and a pretty good read. It held my interest even with it being over 550 pages long. The author could have done just a tad bit better with the ending, however.

Wow. What a book.
A heart racing, fast paced book.

Triggers: domestic violence (very descriptive— made me almost tear up), rape, obsession

I didn’t think I loved how it was laid out (writing style) but MAN, I don’t think it would’ve given off the impact of it wasn’t written this way. I loved everything about this book. Fell in love with some characters, even got emotional a little bit during some of it.

מותחן פסיכולוגי חזק, מלחיץ, כתוב היטב.

Surprisingly good for an Amazon freebie download. A bit too graphic at times, but it kept me hooked right up to the end.

Loved it.

*Disclosure: I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.*

Not only was this book well written, but it was all so real! The depictions of OCD and abusive relationships are pretty spot on.
