This was a bit dark for mainstream reading, certainly more [b:The Girl Before|28016509|The Girl Before|J.P. I found it thrilling but terrifying, it wrapped up nicely and satisfyingly.

Picked this book up as an impulse buy. Glad I did as the story drew me in. We meet the main character - Catherine - as an outgoing 20 something who lived life impulsively and then we get to know her 4 years later as a woman consumed by parinoia & OCD. The story moved between the story of how she met Lee and her life changed to the present day events and attempts to live a 'normal' life.

I recommend this novel!

WOW.... Just WOW!
This book was brilliant from start to finish! It really draws you in and makes you really feel like you're right there with the character.
At one point I could feel my heart racing and anxiety for the character.
Powerful, emotive writing from start to finish. This delves into the behaviour related to OCD, PTSD & Domestic Violence.
One of the best things I've ever read. Think I've found another favourite author.

The total package! An exceptional thriller with such an interesting narrative style, and believable characters. It was impossible to put down. I was delighted this was actually written for NaNoWriMo!

Now this is what I call suspense

*almost* a 4.... really wish we could give half stars, as this was more like a 3.5 for me. Good reading, found myself really wanting to find out what happened next, but it felt a bit rushed at the end.

4,5, sem dúvida!

Good book

2 1/2 stars. I expected a lot more suspense and twists & turns out of a psychological thriller. Nothing much really happened in this book. I listened to it an Audible and I don't think the narrator was the right fit. She had a very chipper British accent. Not scary or suspenseful at all. (I kept picturing "Daphne" from the TV show, Frasier.) I think I would've liked it better if I read it in print, but still.... not very impressed. Read "Gone Girl" instead!

Very suspenseful!
