Took me a really long time to read because of the small writing, but i liked it. It took me like a year to read it (big gaps in between reading sessions) because it was kinda boring and repetitive in the writing. Way to much dialogue. I feel like they ask and answer the same questions so many times. Its very cheesy, especially the two main characters. They are always in a super emotinal mood like in the way they talk to eachother. Never seem to lighten up.

But i did enjoy finally finishing the book and it was very emotinal, i actually shed a few tears which i have never done while reading before. I would recommend this book if u like a lot of dialogue and romance and if youre a teenager like me. Actually its kinda cheesy even for me and im only 13

They captured my heart since the beginning of their story. Reading this as someone who will be turning 20 this year and has not been romantically involved with anyone in years, their love made my heart ache for the teenage loved I never achieved. Being so young, yet capable of loving someone so completely and genuinely and having that love returned to you tenfold is a rare treasure. I teared up in the beginning, cried in the middle, and bawled at the end. I will admit being a 19 year old, there were times I felt uncomfortable reading about their love at 15 and 17 as I no longer saw myself with the same young innocence as them. Thankfully it was never taken too far. There were at points, where I grew tired of reading how every kissed they shared felt or how it was achieved. Just me, yet again feeling uncomfortable about reading 17 year olds shove their tongues down each other’s throats. But I do understand their importance, hence the book’s name, “A Thousand Boy Kisses”. It did genuinely bother me how cold hearted Rune was towards his papa, though I fully understood his hurt, I also understood that his father was ultimately not responsible for his job’s decisions and could not throw his source of income away to let his son stay with his girlfriend. *spoiler* I was extremely happy when Rune opened his heart back up to him. *spoiler* Admittedly, I was sad that Rune died so young, I wished he lived longer but I had a hunch he would never live a long life after Poppy died. He loved her too much to be away from her so long. This was a sad, but good read. A story of two young souls, who shared a love for each other that people spend their entire lifetime searching for.

I really hated that there were explicit sex scenes between 15 year olds...

A thousand book kisses is a YA romance that follows Poppy and Rune . I think it's best to read this book going in blind . Just know , I've never cried so hard reading a book before . With that said , read this book!

Personally I wasn't a fan but I can see how others could be. Teenage boys are brats and that is frustrating to read.

Didn't like it. The premise was very odd to begin with (Grandma told me a life isn't worth living unless I kiss someone 1000 times?) - and the characters were so annoying and unlikeable that I actually was glad for the ending. I forced myself to finish the book because I had predicted how it was going to end and oh my god I was right, but it was still awful.

The author tried so very hard to make this a tragic star-crossed lovers story but Rune was the most annoying, misogynistic, selfish brat. Meanwhile, Poppy had literally no personality and was "not like other girls." They had zero chemistry and their whole relationship was forced because they were childhood friends?

The entire conflict during the time skip was such garbage too. Hated both characters and how they acted.

I didn't think it was cute or romantic or anything. Don't waste your time.
