“For infinity”
“Forever always.”
Well…if it isn’t the consequence of my own actions…I read this for the emotional damage and I got that and then some.
This book was phenomenal. So emotional but so sweet. I love Poppy and Rune so much that I don’t know how I will stop thinking about them.
It was also such an easy read, I finished this in one day because I just had to know what was going to happen next.
We had very big subjects like this such as grief and they were done beautifully.
I swear I have never cried as hard for a book like I did for this one. I am emotionally unavailable for the next 3-5 business days.
But in all seriousness, you have to read this book but be emotionally prepared because you will sob uncontrollably.
Lots of love and emotional trauma for everyone

Happy reading 🤍

I want to hear absolutely ZERO slander of this book. This book was emotional and heart wrenching, but in the most beautiful way. The love that Poppy and Rune have for each other is like no other. This book will take you through a roller coaster of emotions, but it’s worth every page. I cried so many times while reading this book - have some tissues handy. Not only is this a beautiful story, it’s so well written. I will never stop recommending this book!!

This book, to me, seems like one that I’ll be thinking about for awhile. The thing is, I am a sucker for a sad book. I knew all the hype surrounding the sadness of this book, so I was ready for it. However, no one warned me about that epilogue!!! I definitely cried multiple times while reading this, but I liked it. All that being said, this book feels like it was written in the early 2010’s, which isn’t necessarily a negative, but I do feel like that was a certain era of young adult books that was different from the current one.

Didn't like it. The premise was very odd to begin with (Grandma told me a life isn't worth living unless I kiss someone 1000 times?) - and the characters were so annoying and unlikeable that I actually was glad for the ending. I forced myself to finish the book because I had predicted how it was going to end and oh my god I was right, but it was still awful.
The author tried so very hard to make this a tragic star-crossed lovers story but Rune was the most annoying, misogynistic, selfish brat. Meanwhile, Poppy had literally no personality and was "not like other girls." They had zero chemistry and their whole relationship was forced because they were childhood friends?
The entire conflict during the time skip was such garbage too. Hated both characters and how they acted.
I didn't think it was cute or romantic or anything. Don't waste your time.
