This a great follow up to Legendborn. I tend to like sequels, as there is so much more world building and character development. We get to learn more about the politics of The Order, and more about the magic systems. Bree continues on her journey of self discovery, connecting with the other characters on a deeper level, as well as her ancestors. The stakes are much higher in this book, and difficult decisions are made. I enjoyed the ride this book to me on, and the ending had me on the edge of my seat.
