I have recently fallen in love with The Dragon Prince series, overjoyed to find a beautifully written and genuinely inclusive pure fantasy series. The world building, characters, and plot are fantastic but also simple enough for a younger audience to be able to follow comfortably.
Though I wouldn't say this novelisation is perfect it is a fantastic adaptation, though there are some slight inconsistencies with the show nothing major is changed. The novelisation offers a new outlook on the lore of the series as well as a deeper understanding of certain characters and their lives that we couldn't get from the show.
I definitely recommend this to any fans of The Dragon Prince or to anyone who would like to get into a fantasy series but does not have access to the Netflix series. It's a light read and easy to follow as the franchise is directed at a younger audience but it's depictions of very raw and human emotions and experiences are also great for older readers.

I mean, did I enjoy the book version of the 1st season of my favourite show ever? Words don't go far enough to describe just how immensely.

I loved it, it was so nice to go through the first season again with a book! I did not want it to finish, I found myself to want always more.
On the other hand, I expected a bit more in-depth characterisation and more aspects that were not shown in the TV series. I would recommend it to all fans of Dragon Prince, though, since it adds more personality to the characters. However, if you have not watched the TV series, I am not sure if you could appreciate it enough, because the writing is very simple, barely contains description the lore and lacks solid characterization.
