I loved the premise, but the overall execution fell a bit flat for me. Appreciated the slow burn between the MCs, but afterwards... meh.

Freaky, bloody, nasty, and yet oddly sweet! I devoured this book like a starved man and actually shed a few tears of joy when it was done.

Absolutely loved it, WILL be reading Leather and Lark, and Scythe and Sparrow ASAP

Rowan every time he eats ice cream from now on

What an unexpected book! Turns out I am incredible squeamish but the characters and plot were too good to pass up. Excited to read more about the other Kane brothers and there backstory.

ermmm.. a very debatable 4 stars 🌟 the first 40% of this book, I devoured (cue hot series killers falling in love), and then it got dark and confusing real fasttt, and then the last 15% certainly revived my hope with the plot twist! 👏🏼 I’m not overly sure what I’ve just read, but I think I liked it??!

I’ve only read 2 previous dark romantic comedies (yes, I’m talking about you miss Allen), however, this book actually had me giggling out loud at some point 🤭 it did also have me covering my eyes and pretending that I didn’t read certain sentences, but I think that just added to how impactful this book was (and how it will stick around in my head for a while🥲)

as much as, at some points I had to force myself to put the book down for my own sanity, I do also have the next one loaded up on my kindle ready to go… 👀 so clearly whatever crack you put in this miss Weaver, it works!! 🫡 I really hope to take more of a liking to Lark and Lachlan, and pray that no more food gets ruined for me in the process… 😶

way to dark for me. Don't like being in the mind of serial killers.

I really thought I would love this one but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. I didn’t feel much chemistry between Sloane and Rowan and the whole plot felt fairly low stakes despite the set up with serial killers. It had potential but just found the writing was missing something for me.
