5 of 5 stars and more!
In the second book of the Shiver Trilogy, Maggie continues with her lyrical, full of emotions writting as Sam and Grace struggle to stay together while new relevations threat to tear them apart.
Cole and Isabel became interesting characters, while Sam's music haunts me like a forgotten song. Grace's parents are well... you will see.
But no matter how many times i will read read it Maggie is the top of my romance novels. XD

Again, beautiful writing, intense and ended in a way I did not expect at all. If you don't like cliffhangers, wait for the final book to come out before beginning this series. And I have to say that I love these book covers.

i like this one slightly more than shiver due to my love for cole & isabel
Graphic: Animal death, Suicidal thoughts, Blood
Moderate: Addiction, Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Terminal illness, Vomit, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Child abuse, Drug abuse, Self harm, Sexual content, Medical content, Suicide attempt
Story continuity between books is pretty wonky, but interesting take on werewolves. But I feel like a broken record when I have to beg authors not to talk about science if you don't have the slightest clue what you are talking about.

I admit that I had a tough time getting into this second installment, but by the time I hit 30 pages, I could not put it down. Now that Sam is completely human, it would seem that his life and future with Grace are true possibilities. However, Grace soon discovers that she is not okay; something is going on inside her, something that she cannot control. Meanwhile, a new character is introduced: Cole. One of Beck's new pack members, his desperation to cling to his wolf side comes from a self-hatred and a lack of direction. However, his attraction to Isabel and his growing connection to Sam draws him into a worrisome situation. Desperately sad in places, Stiefvater has continued to develop a really incredible story. Readers of the first novel will strongly appreciate the growth of the main characters and development of the storyline.
Great book, read this series as a teen & was recently reminded of it..very YA vibes but cute n reminiscent nonetheless.
Well, I'll give her this. Stiefvater has a way wit broken bad boys unlike any author I've ever read. Her books sound cheesy in the description, and maybe they are a bit cheesy (this still feels a bit like Twilight to me) but her books grab your eye balls out of their socket and force you to read them, pretty much. Compulsively readable. Likable, nuanced characters. These are fun books, I'm really looking forward to reading Forever.
