The second book in this series is just as good as the first. I listened to it on audio as I did the first and I listened to it all day, the audio version of this book is excellent. The suspence built throughout the book and whilst I knew what would happen I didn't guess at how it would happen.

Isabel and Cole are by far the most interesting characters in the trilogy. Isabel is the best.
This book, and it's prequel, have shaken something up inside of me. It's not a normal werewolf book, and it keeps you flipping pages like a maniac, sprinting to the end to see if it has a happy ending. When the ending is a cliffhanger, it prompts you to speed read the next book. I love it!
I really liked this book, but I wanted to love it as much as I loved Shiver. It was just as well written...I just wanted more Sam & Grace.

Like Shiver, this book was quite slow paced in the beginning. It took me a while to get interested, and the first 200 pages I read mostly because I don't like not finishing books I've started reading. After a while I found Isabel to be the most interesting character in the book, and kept on reading just for her chapters. The book got more fast paced and eventful the last 100 pages, but it never manage to wow me. The writing is very good and I like Stiefvater's style, but it doesn't make up for the shortcomings of the story.
Oh my god.... I am just speechless.
I do have to say I wasn't really liking this book at first, but the last half of this book made up for it so much!!! I actually liked that this one didn't focus too much on the romance and went more into depth about the science of the wolves shape shifting. That's not to say I don't love Sam and Grace's relationship, because I do, they are adorable. The semi romance between Cole and Isabel was interesting also.
The way this book was written didn't really flow too well. The perspective of the four characters just confused me so much. Sometimes I thought I was reading Sam's perspective and I was like, "Wait, wtf, Sam wouldn't be thinking this." Then I remember I was reading from Cole's perspective. If it was done better I would've really enjoyed the four character perspective but unfortunately that wasn't the case with this particular book. Also I feel like Sam and Isabel didn't add much to the table with their chapters, it was like they were the side characters and Grace and Cole were the primary characters.
Like I mentioned in an update I didn't like Cole's character, but someone told me he was the best thing in this book. I didn't believe that but turns out it's true. Without him they would have never questioned what really makes people who are bitten turn into wolves and what triggers them shifting back and forth. Without him something awful would've happened to Grace. So he turned out to be essential to this story.
Because of that ending I had to give this book four stars. I was going to give it three because it just wasn't a page turner for me but thankfully I stuck with it and now I have to read Forever to see what happens with Grace, Sam, Isabel and Cole!!!
