Oh, holy everything this is a great read!!! This series was the very first thing I added to my Goodreads to-read list and I definitely feel like a fool for waiting so long to read them!!! They are stupid good. STUPID. GREAT!
I think the very best thing about them is that they are not so much werewolf books as books about relationships that just happen to have werewolves in them.

I knew it was going to end this was... I knew it before I even started the book, but reading it was so devastatingly sad... Sam's love - so strong and pure - is a total heartbreaker. Cole, is surprisingly turning out to be a good person, and I can't wait for him to figure it out.

Guh. Way too much teenage angst for me, justified or not. Can't those characters feel anything else? That said, I'm not a teenager (and therefore not the target audience), and this is the second book in a planned trilogy. 'Part Two's' tend to be a little iffy, in my experience. Maybe I'll enjoy the third better, if I get around to reading it once it's out.

Gewoon prima boekje, fijne schrijftijl en prima dat er wisselende perpectieven zijn. Aan het einde werd het wel spannend! Wel vind ik Grace en Sam te veel van elkaar afhankelijk. Soms is het net effe iets te zoetsappig voor mij.
Il riassunto di questo libro è: mi interessa sapere di Beck, Ulrik e Paul e non me ne frega quasi niente del quartetto dei protagonisti. Ergo questo libro non sta funzionando con me se trovo i personaggi che la scrittrice vuole farmi amare incredibilmente noiosi e stereotipati mentre mi attacco ai secondari.
Better than Shiver, Linger made me fall in love with Stiefvater's character and only grew my love of her writing.
I have to admit, Shiver was just okay for me based on the relationship, the wolf lore, everything save the writing was just four out of five stars for me. Linger far surpassed what Shiver began and has me desperate to pick up Forever and discover how this trilogy ends.
I just keep singing, over and over in my head, "I fell for her in summer, my lovely summer girl..."
Moving, gentle and sad, even if you weren't sure of Shiver, Linger will make you fall in love.
