Can't wait!!!!!

3.5 stars.. I did enjoy the book but I found it a little slow. I kept getting bored and stopping. It took me forever to read this book and I didn't like that. I did like it but it definitely isn't something I'd read more than once.

The first book is like stepping straight into a winter fairytale of intrigue, loss and mystery. I loved it. This one is just a bore and a slog to get through. Dnf

Probably more 3.5. This was a solid continuation to Shiver (which I still think should've been a standalone), and I loved all of the characters and Sam/Grace. There was just a little spark of something missing from this one. I do think the Wolves of Mercy Falls would be an excellent tv show though.

it was an awful book but fuck if it wasnt entertaining

The pretty typical slow moving second novel in a trilogy. While I really enjoyed Shiver, I thought that the second book in the series often felt pretty plotless, and it's pretty easy to tell where the entire book was going about half way through. However, it definitely does leave you wishing that you could immediately start the 3rd book. Hopefully the final book will be a satisfying end to a decent series that is a nice reprieve from books like the Twilight series.

I can't even express how much I loved this book! I can't wait to read the next one!

I love the storyline of this book but the personal narrative format starts to drive me nuts after a while. I feel that the dialog was really lacking. I like it when an author shows me instead of tells me. I felt like I was in one massive reflection session after another while reading.

Now, to the storyline. If you were to take out all the winding narrative, I feel that this book would've been a heck of a lot shorter. I appreciate the introduction of new characters, but it really did confuse me a lot. I had to constantly be flipping back to find out who was speaking. I feel that this signifies that the characters don't always have the most strong of voices, especially when we get the same situation told from multiple perspectives.

I really want to give this book a higher rating, but I just feel like I can't because the storyline just winds and doesn't really go anywhere very quickly. I read the book in about 5 hours because I skimmed so much internal musing.
