I had a much harder time getting into "Linger." I didn't exactly enjoy it as much as its predecessor, but at the end, it certainly picked up. I liked the addition of Cole as a character, and the tension that Thomas Culpepper created at the end of the book. "Forever" should be an interesting read, that is for sure.

When it comes to trilogy's I almost always commit to reading all of them, even if they aren't great. Unfortunate I don't think I can do that with this series. While the writing was decent, the story just isn't making it worth the time.

I don't say this often, but I think this 2nd book of the trilogy was just as strong as the 1st one. And I've decided that I'm just never going to grow up, because her parents made me absolutely crazy insane with rage. I think part of me is always going to be a 17 year-old girl...

One more to go, but I must save it for the weekend, since once I start these books I cannot stop. Was up until midnight again reading.

Grace and Sam are supposedly cured from their shifting, but are saddled with the task of keeping track of newbie wolf Cole St. Clair. All is seemingly great until Grace begins getting sick. The "cure" of a high fever wasn't all that it seemed. We get plenty of rebellious Grace acting out against her parents and emo Sam and his music. Cole is a great addition and he's always been one of my favorite characters in this series.

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful story. [a:Maggie Stiefvater|1330292|Maggie Stiefvater|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1213738923p2/1330292.jpg] does not disappoint with the second book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy. The addition of new characters, Sam's struggle with his human form and Grace's mysterious condition all add up to a beautiful and heartbreaking book.

I have so many questions that I need answered. The wait for [b:Forever|6763494|Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3)|Maggie Stiefvater|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nocover-60x80.jpg|6961290] is going to be painful!!

Ugh, it's the heart wrenching middle book in a trilogy and that pretty much sums it up. Stayed up until 1am to finish this one and it leaves me with a cliffhanger that made my head spin (although I knew what was going to happen)!

I absolutely love the way Stiefvater writes, it's just beautiful and poetic and sucks me in immediately.

Now there's two more characters I care deeply about in this series and it's going to be difficult to wait for the final book! Isabel and Cole are so damaged and complicated, I'm interested to see what's in store for them.

And Sam and Grace, oh sigh, they break my heart- their love story is so sweet, lovely, intense, and completely identifiable to a woman who married her high school sweetheart! But of course their relationship is riddled with set backs...

"It was the feeling of having risked everything to be here with a boy and then realizing that he was exactly what I wanted. Being a picture and then finding I was really a puzzle piece, once I found the piece that was supposed to fit beside me."

These books have broken my heart again! I'm so happy I have the next book to jump into or that ending would kill me!!

I'm very glad I stuck through the first book to get to this one- this one has more teeth, so to speak, as it grows with our protagonists and gains nuance and perspective. This does some beautiful things with and to the shifter genre, and the fated mates trope.

Just as good as the first. It was great, Sam and Grace will forever be one of my favorite couples, and I loved the introduction of Cole! The drama was good, the romance was good, the actual serious stuff was good. Altogether great read
