I loved Shiver so I was so glad I didn't have to wait a long time for Linger. I thought the characters were kept true to how they were in Shiver and I love the new character of Cole. I hated the ending, but thats probably just because I hate cliffhangers. A very good book!

Great continuation of the series, certainly makes me want to read the final book in the trilogy to see how it turns out!

Jolie écriture, mais c'est trop mou pour moi... Je lirais le dernier tome tout de même histoire de savoir la finalité de tout ça, mais pas hyper fan :s
dark emotional reflective

For one, I loved the book by the beginning, but towards the middle, I found the plot becoming a bit dragged on.
I loved Shiver. It remains one of my favorite books, but Linger, the sequel, did not reach my expectations, but that is mostly my problem because I had high expectations.

The writing is simply fabulous in these books, grammar and style wise. It's poetic almost, and gives the feeling like you're sitting in a cozy chair beside a fireplace. It is simply wonderful what Maggie does in her books in that way.

I found it hard to remember some of the characters, since Maggie didn't remind us who this one was or what happened here or there. If you read Shiver one year and Linger the next, I'm sure you might forget who one is and what happened.

SpoilerI don't know why specifically, but I felt Sam and Grace's love in Linger didn't seem like the love in Shiver. Is this me? It may be me, but in Shiver, it was like Sam couldn't stop romancing with Grace and in Linger the only kisses we get are Isabel and Cole and Grace and Sam near the end.
Out of 360+ pages, you'd think there would actually be more romance.

Just like another reviewer caught, Grace is supposed to turn back into her normal 'shifting' faze when a Werewolf (or shapeshifter) bites her. Shelby, the shewolf in Shiver, bites Grace in Shiver...

3 out of 5 stars because I do truly love the series and will continue on to the next! I just thought at times it dragged
Spoilerand I felt that the romance was much different in this one than the first.

Hearing Linger was a bittersweet experience. I'm not going into detail about the ending, no spoilers. But I can say that I was expecting a happy ending. But that's the thing when reading Maggie Stiefvater`s stories. They are so good that you expect a good ending but then you get a sudden surprise for the conclusion. I can't wait for the next installment.

A bit wingey and whiny. Just want to get to the end of the story now to get it over with.

love this series
