love this series

Compelling storytelling but it’s also true that not a lot happens, and while I know that this is fantasy, the way the situation spirals feels unrealistic.

I really like this book. I didn't think it was as good as the first of the series. But I liked it enough that I can't wait for the next one to come to my house!

thank GOD they changed the voice for sam. i hate cole’s voice tho - maybe isabelle’s as well she sounds too. not posh and rich. omg sam is so cringe - the singing and poetry 🤡🤡. omg they’re so clingy. her mother so has a point she’s 17 and then grace is like. we’ll be together forever 🙄. why is isabelle so okay with imaging sam and grace having sex whilst she’s in the bed. girl ew wtf. god cole is a prick i cannot. where’s like the plot it’s just like following the characters and their everyday it doesn’t really feel like it’s building to something. well the ending was kinda nice. it actually made me like cole a lot more and isabelle and kinda full circle moment

I have to say that I love Maggie Stiefvater. Her werewolf books are some of the best that I have read. Her prose is beautiful and heartbreaking, nothing like an Elliot Smith want to be. I love Sam despite his moodiness and I love Grace for her pragmatism. I am not sure that I like Cole, but his redemption story is one of the most profound and believable I've read in a long time. I wonder how I would have felt reading these books as a teen. I can't decide, but as an adult I am a huge fan and can't wait for the next one.

I liked it. Definitely teen fiction but I like that is it different.

I was really into the first book so of course I bought the second. However, this book started really slow. it picked up in the end so I'm glad I decided to finish it. Now I'm debating on whether or not to read book 3???

I don't think it's just because I'm more used to the author's writing style &/or the characters, but this book was noticeably better than the first one. It was more serious and felt more plausible to me. I found myself relating to Cole for some reason, even though he's really not very similar to me. Personality-wise, I think Grace is a much closer match to me, but maybe the gender difference is too much? Anyway, I'm glad I gave this sequel a chance. It exceeded my expectations. Starting "Forever" now.

Not a lot happens in this book, although it's readable in spite of that. It's a better read than what I remember of Shiver, though I find my suspension of disbelief tested whenever it's mentioned exactly how young Cole was when he became famous (not saying it doesn't happen, it just feels extremely unlikely). Hoping the next book has a bit more going on in it.
