As always Louise Penny produced a complex and entertaining story. The new “voice” of the series for the audio version really seems like a mistake. It nearly ruined the experience for me.

2.5-3
It's fine with the characters and all that but it's a terrorist plot/government conspiracy type story and I just prefer the murders. There was a lot of complicated stuff to follow in this one and it didn't hold my interest/attention very well. The ending action was better than the rest of the book.

I didn't factor it in to the star rating but the new audiobook narrator was a blow. I appreciate the sentiment of wanting someone from Quebec to do it, but I had trouble differentiating between some of the voices that were previously so distinct
