part 1 of the book was brilliant, eerie and creepy! it was even uncomfortable to read at times but that was only because fowles wrote so realistically. unfortunately i felt like part 2 fell short, it was definitely interesting to see miranda’s thoughts but it just felt like a massive repeat of part 1 and felt like a bit of a chore to read. i did. enjoy the ending part 4 however! overall was a good book but wouldn’t read again purely because of part 2.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this novel. Initially, I was drawn in and eager to find out what happened to the two characters and as the POV switched it completely transformed my opinion of the characters. A really interesting read and I particularly liked the ending!
