This book was a pleasant look into a high society, gay love coming of age novel. Rating this a star lower than perfect as I felt the plot could have been driven by a more centralized inciting incident. There are plenty of moments of drama and emotion, but maybe starting the book with this and the back peddling to exposition may have made for a better novel. Definitely written of it’s time (1914-15).
