I’m getting emotional! What a journey, what a ride, I am blown away. Time for the movies!

It’s hard to believe a few years ago I was struggling with the first half of Fellowship. As I grew accustomed to the writing style these books have become some of my most treasured reads. Return of the King wraps up the Lord of the Rings in a masterful way and closes the book on a timeless adventure.

Visgi istorijos statymas iki jos rezoliucijos truko ilgiau nei pati pabaiga.

No one warns you how hard it is to read when your eyes are turned to faucets.
Gutterly devasted to be finished this trilogy. In the days since I finished I have look at my book like one would look at the photo of their dead spouse and, oh, how I mourn.
What started as a race to read the books before watching the films instead became a slow leisured walk through a garden of remembrance and a reignition of love for literature and creativity as a whole.
I wish I could erase every word from my brain just so I can fall in love all over again.

I know Peter Jackson hated the way Tolkien ended this, and cut it from the movie (which I’m fine with), but I actually quite enjoyed seeing the hobbits come in and boss Saruman around

Also that was my first time reading the Appendices and while they were a little dense, they also contained some really fun nuggets
