would love a count of how many times “all at once” appears

So clearly this was inspired by the Taylor/Travis romance. I ain’t mad about it for sure. Like I’ve seen in other reviews, it did feel a bit rushed and short. It definitely could’ve gone past where it ended. Overall though, it was a cute story and I think Swifties would enjoy reading it.

Thanks as always to NetGalley for the ARC.

this was my least favorite audiobook of the year. i am so sorry to tbe female narrator, but her tone was down right diabolically robotic. there was absolutely no passion in her delivery of any characters lines.

and as for the story itself…if i had a nickel for everytime i accidentally listened to published taylor swift x travis kelce fan fiction i would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

this story was ass. the way they talked to each other pissed me off badddd. this fmc kept sabotaging her own life and the mmc was just irritating.

Let me tell you why this book is terrible:
1. It’s a complete character rip off of Taylor Swift and her fans. Fine, but it’s not even well done

The fan fic of it all didn’t actually bother me, I thought enough was changed. My issue was how depressing this was and the HEA did not make up for that. I understood the angst in the beginning but like whew I was almost rooting for them not to end up together and I actually would have been at peace with that. Strange.

  • This was weird bc the Taylor swift character seemed very Taylor swift y but then the baseball player seemed nothing like Travis Kelsey- maybe that’s what fan fict is? I guess I’m not a great candidate for this book bc I don’t read fan fict…
  • Regardless the Taylor swift of it all was the only interesting part of this (tho also kind of weird and like… gross? Like she’s a real person why is this okay?) otherwise the dude sucked, they had no chemistry or reason to be together, and the story moved…too quickly for how she set it up
  • Idk- enjoyed reading it against my better judgement - but still, it was objectively…not at all good

I really wanted to love this book. It just felt like it wasn’t fully fleshed out? It was so angsty and for what.

I agree with the other reviewers who stated that this is a first draft of Taylor Swift fanfic. I wish the author had taken more time to develop an actual story with character growth and resolution. It was vaguely gross and unsettling how much the FMC resembled Taylor Swift. Why not use more imagination? A disappointment.
