I refuse to say a bad word about LaRocca. On that note, why is this book like an inch and a half taller than their other ones?

I don't know what to say except this book is weird and disturbing and not in a way I find pleasing. It feels like there's some deeper meaning that I didn't really grasp. To be honest, I just wanted it to be over. At least it was short I guess?

I have no idea how to actually rate this. I’m pretty new to horror but what the actual f*** did I just read?! This was just bizarre. I’m simultaneously grossed out, hating what I just read, but also like damn… that was a good story.

I am not entirely sure if my 3 stars is a GOOD three stars or BAD 3 stars. I THINK I get the message, maybe? What a bizarre, gross book about grief. I kinda wish it had been longer so I could know more about the setting and how it got to be that way. It was an okay quick horror read, but I have read better.

Im surprised at just how many people disliked this book, I thought it was very intriguing and the direction kept me spellbound. There is a HEAVY amount of prose so that is a valid turnoff but otherwise I thought the themes and story presented were great
