5/5. I think I’ve found my new favourite trope! Celebrity/non-celebrity romance! This was such an adorable listen. I loved everything about it but especially Parker, she was the cutest kid ever. Her relationship with Mel was so beautiful, especially when they went to the space museum. I liked that Mel also was on the spectrum that almost made her bond with Parker instantly. It was very touching. I loved how Mel and AJ’s relationship blossomed from friends to lovers.
Mel telling AJ she lost Parker was the cutest thing ever. Plus their first kiss was adorable and little sleep over was just teeth rotting. The three ladies entire relationship is adorable. Having Parker involved in proposal was the cutest thing ever. Once again, read beautifully by Abby Craden. I used cute a lot in this review but cute was the only appropriate one for me ❤️

One of the loveliest stories I've ever had the pleasure to read. Overall, it's quite low on drama and I love it for that. There is some tension throughout the book that makes it more interesting. But nothing overwhelming nor OTP. I loved that the story focused on just a few characters, mostly the MCs and the cutie Parker. With the exception of someone I won't deign mention the name, all the characters were great!

I had a big smile plastered on my face during practically all the reading and definitely would love to read more about them.

Let me start by saying that I’m really glad this book popped up in my feed.
Mel, a high profile actress literally ran over AJ and her daughter outside of an ice cream shop. AJ was overwhelmed and angry after this encounter. The two meet up again in a couple more chance meets, the final being where AJ saved Mel’s life.
Slowly the two began building a relationship and it was nice to see the development between these two. Parker, AJ’s daughter was an integral part of the book and I commend our author for not only including a character on the autism spectrum but for handling it with such care and respect. Without Parker we would not have this wonderful book. The dialogue between all characters was natural and the figurative language added to the plot. It was relatively drama free and while Mel’s celebrity status played a part in this book, wasn’t the whole focus and wasn’t a reason for them to break up (I enjoyed a non-breakup for once).
There were a few grammatical errors but no significant enough to ruffle my feathers. Overall this was a really well written book and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author!

Two very different main characters find their way towards each other despite all the posing obstacles. I really liked Parker and the way her relationship with Melanie evolved. The "accidental" ways Melanie and AJ kept running into each other weren't very believable and the stalling before they finally got together was a bit annoying at times. But overall I liked the book, it was a nice, heartwarming read.

This was a pretty cute, closed door, sapphic romance between a single mother and a movie star. There’s also neurodiverse rep as AJ’s daughter Parker has autism and it’s discussed that Melanie is on the spectrum as well.

The beginning (the first 30%) was very slow to me. We see AJ and Mel orbiting each other and sometimes crossing paths, but it takes a while before they officially meet and have a real conversation.

I thought it represented the struggles of being a single parent and of dating someone in the limelight (with a famous ex and lots of tabloid coverage) well.

I really liked the relationship that developed between Mel and AJ’s daughter, Parker, but some parts of the book felt underdeveloped to me. Parker at times seems so young but then in other times she speaks eloquent words of wisdom. The whole subplot of AJ also being an artist and being taken advantage of by a place that was selling her art without her knowledge wasn’t really talked through.

As someone who's wondering if I'm on the spectrum this was a delightful read at the right time in my life. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I found the pacing a little too fast in times. I wish the relationships had developed a little more or that we got to see them getting closer in more scenes. Sometimes it felt like days were just passing and you get told they got closer but I would've like to see it.
