This is my second book by J.T Geissinger and I honestly just did not enjoy this one. It was recommended to me by others in my book groups and all the reviews were so good - so maybe my expectations were too high going in.
If anyone tells you that this is a HEA - WRONG. If J.T knows one thing, she knows how to execute a killer plot twist. Reflecting on the writing and twist itself, the book is good. I just found that the story wasn’t grabbing me and pulling me in. I was more intrigued by the ending and plot twist that I could have skipped 75% of the book.
I would definitely add this author to your reading list, although I wouldn’t add this specific book to the top of your to read list - unless you go in with lower expectations.

What a fucking roller coaster!!! I loved the witty banter between James and Olivia! The emotions were real, I was in tears with laughter and grief. Twist ending I didn’t expect!

Holy shit, where do I start?! I will admit to start with it was just a decent romance book. Some bits felt like it dragged on. Very cutesy. Some LOL funny bits. AND THEN BAM!! the last 30% of the book was a complete mindfuck! Absolutely brilliantly done. Did not expect that at all. Only knocked it down a bit because the last paragraph was cringe.

I'm conflicted! I loved this book, but also have mixed feelings. I would love to give this book a 5 star. Her writing is incredible and it had me on the edge of my seat. But I not sure about it at the same time. If this make ANY sense!
