This book was recommended to me by a close book bestie and when I say I couldn’t be more thankful she suggested this for me after I struggled to get through my last book….. that is an understatement.

WOW, just WOW. I still have tears running down my face. This book took turns that straight up slapped me in the face. I was not prepared. This book must be enjoyed blind. It will not have the same effect if you know the twists, and there are a few.
I was going to rate this book 4 stars. However, then I got to the epilogue, which changed EVERYTHING! I am not kidding when I say this book messes with your emotions! It is sexy and mysterious. Heart wrenching and funny.
To put it simply, this is one of the best things I have ever read/ listened to. It made me laugh, confused, sad, angry, turned on... all of it. I felt every emotion.
There is not a ton of spice, but what you do get is extremely hot and well written. This is a very steamy sexy story, though!
The narration was excellent!

I hated the whole ending. I was into the story as a whole but that twist was the worst. I didn’t enjoy anything that happened afterwards either. After how weird PenPal was too I’m thinking about maybe not finishing the rest of her books.
The only reason I gave this book 2 stars instead of 1 is because of James "character" honestly, I thought the book was a bit of a bummer and a let down. The twist and turns were enjoyable. But I almost DNF'd around 70%. It really just lost me.

I thought this was a normal book about a "just for the summer" romance in Paris... but, boy was I wrong. I don't care if you believe that a "Plot twist" warning is a spoiler, nothing can prepare you for this book. The first twist was crazy enough. It went from a simple love in Paris to Mr. & Mrs. Smith. AND THEN!!! The calendar!!! it just... I was absolutely devastated the way there was just no reprieve from the anguish I was subjected to. AND THEN!!! THE EPILOGUE!! The feeling of relief was indescribable. This book was just so meta. What started off as a boring (sorry) and predictable book, turned into a read that I just couldn't put down. Ultimately, I just cannot believe that I fell for the "It was all a dream" trope TWICE!! I loved this book. All I can say is wow...
