I'm not going to lie, I loved this book, just as I've loved all the others, and I can't wish for perfection, but I feel like the series is starting to miss it's spark a little bit. I feel like the characters aren't getting as much development as they used to, leaving them almost two dimensional, the cats don't have as much of a connection to what they're doing, almost like they're lacking purpose. Maybe that's the point in this arc. I have faith that the spark comes back.

Reread, All-Time Favorite
I really enjoyed this one. I will say that while I had been vaguely annoyed by Hollypaw for the majority of this series, this was the one that made me actively find her to be obnoxious. I feel like her fanaticism over the warrior code intensifies in this book.
I think it's interesting that the authors introduced an element of religion into this and made it a thing about doubt and belief and that sort of thing. So that's interesting, and a part I don't really remember from my first time through this series. I'm curious to see how big of an impact this storyline has on the rest of the saga.
So I enjoyed this one and the big battle and the eclipse, but I honestly don't remember the plot beats of the next two very well, so it will be very much like I'm reading it for the first time, which will be fun!

Okay I refuse to rate my Warriors reread because I don't think I can intelligently review these books. But I just want it on the record: I LOVE HOLLYLEAF I WOULD KILL AND DIE FOR HER.

I like that we’re back into figuring out what belief is and what it means. That’s the interesting meat of these books and what will be interesting for young people when they read this.

The plot here wasn't terribly strong until about halfway through, when things really started taking off. Tension is high as WindClan continues to push things entirely too far in their territory war with ThunderClan, and a mysterious stranger shows up on Clan territories.
The whole Sol appearance really led to some interesting twists, and I'll admit I didn't see some of them coming. One thing I can really say about the Warriors series is it really isn't as predictable as so much kid's literature gets to be. I'm looking forward to the final two novels in this sub-series, especially since I really have no idea where this is going to go.
