I actually wanted to score this book lower, but it had some good moments. Rebecka was no more than a shadow of a character and really played no role in this book, just lurked on the perimeter. The wolf? I started to skip those chapters as I really could not see how this fit in with the book. I was disappointed, I expected more.

This book was hard to follow at times with an incongruous myth type of story that kept popping up - which I skipped. I didn't like Rebecca Martinson in this book - she is really psychologically a mess...Oh, it's Swedish. I did like some of the details about northern Swedish life.

I could have done without the wolf chapters, Lisa's story and I wasn't crazy about Larsson's writing style. There were some interesting characters, though, and I enjoyed the setting.
