I used to read Withcy online so it was a nice thing to come to it and feel familiar, and then to just dive into the parts I hadn't read.

beautiful BEAUTIFUL art style omg. really interesting and different story but it cut off pretty abruptly at the end. it didn't feel like an actual resolution, though i understand that it's part of a series. still would have liked a bit more closure though. i should read more graphic novels, they're so quick and easy and relaxing.
My only complaint is that this feels very much like the beginning of a series rather than a self-contained one-shot story, and while I have an idea where the various plot points seem to be headed I'd very much like to actually see them play out! I know it doesn't always work out that way, though, and what we got is still very good.

Such a fun queer, anti-imperialist, Asian comic! Love that you can read the whole thing for free online.
3.5 maybe 4 stars

I forgot how much I loved this book. I’m so in love with prill, and honestly, if my predictions are correct for the second book, nyneve is too :))

The premise of this is really weird - witches have power levels based on the length of their hair. Hair length seems genetically determined, and stops growing after a certain point, though it's unclear why. Despite the fact that hair can be cut, and the witch's power level drops accordingly, people with hair that's too long are burned. I also had trouble identifying which characters were male, because everyone has long hair. I did like the story, though.
