I liked the story, I like the illustration... I just don't know if I'm a graphic novel person...
This was a beautiful graphic novel! I would recommend this to anyone. However, it's not something that I could spend hours on end talking about. There were life-long lessons that can be applied to our every day mindset.
Our MC challenged the "typical standard" of what she was expected to uphold and is now set on this journey to do and be something that she feels more confident and happy doing. I'm really loving the crow side character. He seems to be quite the hoot. This is the first in a series, so I will be watching out for the remainder. Hopefully the "slowness" in book 1 was only to set up the world and do some background explanations.

I was lucky enough to pick this up from the author at the Festival of the Photocopier. I devoured it on my flight home from Melbourne, grinning the entire time.
The art in this book is truly gorgeous. I think that the story is obviously still in progress but I think that the general feel I get when reading this is comforted, which is interesting as an atmosphere. I like it :-)
fun, but read more like the first half of a book than the first installment in a series, probably owing to the fact that it was a webcomic first. i wish there was a firmer conclusion to this volume (a question answered, a choice made, a complication revealed, etc.) but i liked it enough to pick up the next one!
Loved this story... the movement and flow of the characters feels very much like animation, which makes action seamless. Pacing of character development is awesome and exquisite handling of a trans character and overall complex world with complex characters.
