This novella was a quick read, a prequel to the series that I have read the first book of, good Italian Magia romance, forced proximity plot, obviously it was a novella, so it was a bit quick, but well written.

This is a good quick read if you are waiting in school pick up line or just something to pass time away. The spice was there even though it did take time to get into, the plot was good. The only thing I didn’t like was that I wanted to know more about the story after the guy got the girl and see what their future held. Other than that it was a good read.

From Dust to Don is a romance novella that takes place during Christmas. While the story does contain themes of betrayal, murder, love, kidnapping, and stalking, I enjoyed it as a quick and spicy read. The male main character's role was well developed, and the novella provided background information for the Lord of the Commission series. It also had a happily-ever-after ending. It is reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet due to rose and rival family themes. Please be aware of the trigger warnings before diving in.

Pretty standard for a prequel. Fast paced to set the reader up for the upcoming novel. Would have preferred a little more development of the relationship, but maybe we just need the basics of how the whole thing started.
