Holy…fuck.
I was not expecting this to be that good.
Alex is so possessive and I absolutely love it. I love a good “I would burn the world for her” book boyfriend. I loved seeing him transform and see his sweet side over time. And I loved Ava. I’ve gotten annoyed with “sunshine” characters in the past but not this time. It’s just the right amount.
I was entertained the entire time. There was actually decent structure and plot to this. And fuck, the smüt was good. So so good.
The book felt a bit rushed in some parts but I guess that’s what kept it fast paced. But dear god did I love the grovelling at the end.

Bought the book because some of my friends had read it and I saw it hyped all over social media (making me think it was gonna be good but boy was I miss led.)
I felt that Alex was described as being this “I won’t stop till I get what I want” type of guy and sure he’s like that when it comes to his job but when it comes to a crucial part in his relationship with Ava, he just gives up and let’s her believe a load of BS, breaking her heart (plus destroying the relationship he has with his beast friend/Ava’s brother).
+ if he just told the truth we would’ve avoided him singing (I cringed, honestly couldn’t believe what I’d read.)
The whole situation with Ava’s “dad” just felt forced and unnecessary - the situation with Alex’s uncle could’ve been incorporated into the story differently.
I admired Ava’s drive to do what she was passionate about but, to me, she seemed quite immature and annoying for most of the story.
I started reading “Twisted Love” thinking it would be quite a spicy book but it takes around half the book for Ava and Alex to actually kiss (which honestly made reading it so slow) and there’s only a few spicy scenes.
Everyone’s got their own opinions on this book but personally I think it’s not worth reading and was way too hyped.
