It was definitely a fast read, but mid at best. Nice break from reality, but had many cringeworthy scenes.

3.5/5⭐️ rounding down because I feel like this one was definitely overhyped. No spoilers here but if I gave you the equation, I bet you’d guess it:

Traumatized FMC + grumpy MMC + brother’s bff + Russian mafia.

I contemplate not reading the remainder of the series but I’m more fascinated with this FMC’s friends’ stories and love lines than theirs.

I feel like Ana Huang lit might be the gateway to a world of spicier books. If you heavy romance or constant talk of

Twisted Love by Ana Huang
4.5✨

This is the second time I read this book, and I enjoyed every second of it.

Here we meet sweet Ava and grumpy Alex, she sees the good in everyone while he doesn’t trust anyone. She wants love, while he crave revenge.

Their love is a little bit complicated, becase she’s basically off limits because she is Alex’s best friend little sister and he’s a bit too dark for her.

As I said, this isn’t my first time reading the book and it actually surprise me how much more I enjoyed this book and how many cringy scenes there were, and how much I like Alex now…

Sometimes laughably ridiculous. From the sunshine nickname to the awkward inclusion of very very specific details (HSAM condition, US electrical codes requirements?) to the evil confession of attempted murders (yes plural) in a boardroom where everything could so obviously be recorded? And then the horrible trope where he lies about his feelings to “protect the girl” after she is no longer in danger and then he stalks her to get her back??? And then there’s just a time jump and he mostly has her back as a friend, there’s no explanation for how he worked his way back into her heart apart from literally stalking her and making her uncomfortable. And then there’s the bonus scene at the end was set up to seem like a proposal, but it’s just a spicy scene in an orchard?

1,5’tan 2. İkinci kitaba bir şans vereceğim, cringistandan döner dönmez…

It was like a train wreck and I could not look away. It counted towards my reading goal. I finished it out of spite

I loved this book and would 100% recommend. It gives off 'wouldn't tolerate this behaviour in a real man but we'll forgive him in a book'. THE GROVELLING IS TOP TIER! It just didn't get 5 stars because it didn't go into much detail after the fight and Ava discovering what her dad did. The friendship between the four girls is adorable and you can tell they all love each other so much and would do anything for one another. The chemistry between the characters is insane and the story has a lot more suspense and is a lot more action filled than expected, it was a nice surprise. I was completely engrossed in the book from the get go.
