I was obsessed with this story! The author notes that this one diverges from her usual but I think the writing style and strength of characters is typical for her. Asa is a terrifying character and the twists in his thinking, planning, and acts are memorable.
Oh my, another one star book by CH. I gave it a shot since Verity wasn’t half bad. This is supposedly psychological suspense, it’s not. Never again.

On the literal first page of this book, the main character is getting SA’d and this happens consistently throughout the book. The main character is portrayed as strong, but really doesn’t have a clue. The ending is terrible and in CoHo fashion, wraps up a potentially triggering story with the best case scenario of love? Should have DNF’d, don’t read this one.
