Loved this one from Colleen! Could see this as a movie or a show. Also look at trigger warnings on this one as well. This was one that I was intimidated to read but ended up loving it.

Okay, so everyone knows that Verity is probably my favourite psychological thriller ever, so when this came out, I was both excited and nervous because there was no way it would top Verity.
Well, it didn't ...
However ... it was very good. Granted, I'm not a fan of CoHo's usual style of books, but this one seemed darker so what the hell.
I read it as a buddy read. I was supposed to read it over 7 days ... I read it in 2. I won't lie. It was very addictive. I'll give CoHo her dues, she can write addictive books and characters you really root for.
The writing style was maybe a bit basic, and the story itself a bit ... meh. It was very cliche in places and received a few eye rolls from me. Luckily, it wasn't too heavy on the steamy stuff (which I can't stand), but the ending seemed to go on forever until I realised that CoHo actually wrote this in stages and kept adding epilogues, which then made sense.
A decent gripping read, but is it a psychological thriller? I'd have to say no. More romantic suspense I think.
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot

Started out fine but then got very repetitive, seriously the middle 200ish pages restates the same thing- again, and again, and again

This book kept my attention…. Until the end. I’m an easy reader meaning I’m usually easily entertained and not a tough critic at all! I love Colleen Hoover books! But the ending I didn’t love.
medium-paced

This book is tailor-made for readers who are captivated by emotionally charged, fast-paced romantic thrillers. It delves into the complexities of morally ambiguous relationships, pushing the boundaries of love and loyalty. The narrative is driven by suspense and intrigue, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they navigate a world where danger lurks around every corner. The characters are flawed yet relatable, grappling with inner demons and external threats. Through their struggles, the story explores themes of resilience, redemption, and the enduring power of love in the face of adversity.

I hated Asa. Found it an easy read though.
