I enjoyed the psychological thriller aspect of this book—it kept me on my toes and despite how dark it gets, I still enjoyed the read. My main complaint is how drawn out the ending was: like, we get it, Asa is insane and extremely intelligent, so much so that he can get through all these hoops to once again find where Sloan is and try to get her back. The last 50 pages were way too drawn out and the story could have ended with Ada’s arrest at the first apartment.

Whooowee this one was wild and dark and scary and suspenseful! I was scared and happy and sad all at once the whole time. Such amazing writing with characters that you wish you could help or stop or hug beginning to end.

I think it would have been better if it wasn’t trying so hard to be dark and edgy. Dark is good, but this was just not it. It was still good and I still wanted to know what happened, but it definitely wasn’t one of my favorites by her.
