Tucker and Miranda meet after the realization that both of their partners are together. However, they do not get to know each other until after their previous relationships have ended. Tucker is working a case to find out what happened to a missing teen and ends up across from Miranda’s doorstep. She is a single mom to Kingston and working on navigating that, while getting back into the workforce after being a stay at home mom. She was essentially a single parent then too; she did not have a partner to help. She needed someone who could stay by her side and balance life; someone who knew her favorite creamer is vanilla and would stock that at their place, instead of getting her the one they liked thinking it was her choice too. I loved seeing Kingston’s relationship with Tucker because you can see how much he was lacking attention from his dad. Tucker stepped up where he was needed.
This one was bingeable! I didn't realize how quickly I was getting through it until I was at about 60%. Tucker and Miranda go through a bunch of crap from their exes to get to their HEA. It was nice watching Miranda be such a headstrong woman. Tucker was written so well. He was so caring and sympathetic. Loved him. Overall, it was a good book. I can't wait to read more about the brothers!
What can one do when they find themselves attracted to the spouse of the person your significant other was having an affair with? Well deny it for as long as you can seems to be working up until it doesn't.
Miranda is now a single mom and trying to co parent with her ex, which isn't smooth due to their recent divorce.
Tucker is also now single since the reveal of their affair gave him the much need push to fill for divorce.
The one good thing that came out of their respectfully divorces was their meeting. Things are a bit tricky for both of them but their attraction is undeniable.
The ex drama was a given with the general plot of the book.
I liked this one and especially the fact that there was no third act break up, not every book needs one just because and this book is proof of that.

Great story
I enjoyed this story overall. It was surprising and steamy and relatable. It was insta love for the two MC and I'm not mad about it. The plot moved at a quick pace and was steady throughout. There was some really awesome banter and some hand necklaces with a sprinkle of suspense in there. Her ex was a sleaze bag and I wanted to hate him, but I could only muster a strong dislike. His ex-wife though, man was she horrible! I loved the age gap and the found family in this story and the fact that he's pretty protective off the bat.
The epilogue, while it made sense, I think I would have preferred that to be bonus content and have the epilogue be a shorter time frame, explaining how things went with Bowie. And how the move transition went with Kingston. And how he ended up staying in that small town despite his real work affiliations...

4.5✨
A while back I read on reddit a story of how a woman found out her husband was cheating on her, and his affair partner was also married. They all divorced, and the woman fell into bed with the other husband, resulting in a pregnancy (ok, I'm pretty sure the story was fake, but most of Reddit is...I'm there for the entertainment). Unfortunately it didn't end with a whirlwind fairytale romance, they stayed platonic and commitment to their child. I occasionally think of that story and sorely wish the had ended up together, while their cheating exes fell apart. I wanted their happily ever after so badly!
So when I read the synopsis for this one I was hook, line, and sinker. I saw some not so great reviews so I entered this one with trepidation, but left it thoroughly satisfied. I loved...everything. I read it within a day, I was that engaged with it.
My one, single quibble is wishing the ending wasn't so abrupt (buuut there are epilogues!).
It was damn near perfect and finally scratched an itch I've had for a while.

**4.5 amazing stars**
I knew I would like this book.
But I didn’t think I’d love it considering the circumstances. I loved it!
It is bittersweet though. Because who wants to get cheated on?
But the fact you can move on and find a great love that your heart knows this is your forever love was heartwarming.
I loved Miranda, Tucker and sweet Kingston.
What was done to them broke my heart. Most especially for Miranda.
I really adored her. I’m glad she was so strong in the face of uncertainty and especially having a three year child. She was determined not to let her cheating husband talk her into giving him another chance. Miranda would have rather faced unclear tough future alone. Rather than coast along being married. She has so much strength and resilience that I really admired.
Wow did Tucker freaking surprise me! He no nonsense, doesn’t take crap and doesn’t cave in.
I found myself swooning over his sexiness and big heart. But he had me drooling with his dominance and protectiveness. He sees the ugly in people on a daily basis. But he’s still kind and caring.
Him and Miranda together are freaking explosive! The chemistry with them sizzles off the pages.
Not only do they fire up the pages with their sexual interactions. But I loved the real bond they had other than the physical.
I loved how the believed in one another from the very start. I loved how they both trusted each other even when accusations were being made. They had a beautiful connection that kept getting stronger with each passing day.
And Kingston stole my heart. What an absolute cutie pie he was.
I loved how Kingston was with Tucker. My heart hurt for that little boy. While simultaneously happy for him.
Tucker had already won my over but he sealed the deal with Kingston. Omg he was fabulous with him.
I also really enjoyed the mystery going on along with the romance side of the book.
The suspense and mystery taking place made the story that just more gripping.
I couldn’t stop reading once I started. I needed to know everything.
How everyone would fare. Who is behind what’s taking place. And how things would end.
And I absolutely loved the epilogue!
