Very entertaining! I love the writing and humor of the author. The Setting is lovely, the view on relationships and how they change with time was lovely. I love books like this. The half star I took away for the ending because we still don‘t really now why they stopped being friends .

There were some really interesting scientific things about this, and the descriptive style was cool at times, but the character is whiny and doesn't really grow at all. Sort of an anti-climactic book.
Overall: Eh.

This book wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be. Jane seemed overly obsessed with the past, which always turns me off a bit.
I have absolutely no recollection of having read this book, even after reading the description.
So halfway through this book, I thought I would love it or hate it. Now that
i have read it - I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It is a good simmer read.

I didn't expect a novel with so much reference to Darwin's research to be so funny. The Jane of the story does have some evolving to do, as does the story of her family and the feud that has marked current history. It still doesn't make me want to visit the Galapagos Islands so much as it makes me want to HAVE BEEN there.

I give up on this one. I have given it FAR beyond the three chapters' chance a teacher taught me to give a book, and I just cannot get into it. I don't care about the characters or what's happening to them. I shouldn't be surprised...I've felt this way about all of Schine's books. I think I've finally learned my lesson.

This book was extremely well written. Detailed with so much lovely imagery and relatable lines. Lessons can be taken throughout. In theory this book has a plot but it is really just living inside Jane’s whimsical, confusing, and charming mind. My brain works like hers, questioning everything. I really liked this and will read more from the author for sure.
