Absolutely loved it. I did immerse reading and it was incredible. It was movie on pages. 

I could not stop listening or reading. I can not wait for book three. 🫶🏻 as I need to know what is coming and if the lands can be recovered and survive.

I listened to the audiobook version available on Kindle Unlimited.

Better than book 1.  There is still a lot of repeating narrative inside of the main character's head that get boring and repetitive.  There's probably a fifty to hundred pages of this repetitive bloat that gets rather tiresome to listen to.

The narrator is very good and I would recommend the audiobook if you don't mind listening to the spicy bits out loud.
