This is not actually that great but the first book was unbearable and this one scratched an itch which is a fascinating development

Such a good sequel. Picks up IMMEDIATELY where the first book finished, in their next breath.
Lia/thalia & Alexandros/Xander/Jason main characters are chefs kiss. The development independently and together was so good. The tension, yearning &angst 😙🤌🏼
The plot is and subplots are so detailed but not heavy and the pacing is perfect.
Xander’s phraty is so found family as is Lia’s sisters.
I think there might be something sus about Dolion though.

I’m struggling to rate this because while I loved the plot of the story,
Lia’s constant internal struggle about her feelings for Xander got kind of old. I’m happy at the end she came to the realization that they both care for each other and she plans to work together with him.

That said I still gobbled this right up and am so excited for the final book!
